What we see in 1 Peter is that when he says, “this is the true grace of God, he is saying this grace that saves your soul, and gives you eternity and calls you to mission, but does not make life easy and in fact exposes you to spiritual battles, and persecution, and the kind of suffering Jesus experienced, that is the true grace of God, stand firm in it.
So how do you do that? Peter has addressed this before but he comes back to it here. He tells us four things. . .
