Coffee from Rwanda
Drink A Cup And Do Good!
Rwanda is a country that was torn apart by genocide in 1994 when an estimated 800,000 people brutally lost their lives during a period of 100 days of horrific massacres committed in the name of ‘ethnic cleansing'. Today, as the Rwandan people continue the struggle to piece their lives back together, God is working a miracle of reconciliation in their hearts and YOU can play a huge part.
How can one person possibly make a difference? By simply purchasing a bag of delicious Rwandan specialty coffee or tea from "Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee" (LOTH) you will become an integral part of promoting reconciliation, reducing poverty and giving hope to the survivors of this tragedy. Christ Community has joined in the ministry of "LOTH" and is serving Rwandan specialty coffee for you to sample during each of our weekend services.
We sell this coffee and tea on most weekends in each service. There are tables set up at the back of the Worship Area.
From the sale of each 12 ounce bag of coffee, $3.00 goes back into the Rwandan economy with $1 of that going directly to fund micro-finance small business loans for widows of the Rwandan genocide. See newsletter below for a story about a small business loan at work for a widow in Rwanda.
