Hope for Daytona
Christ Community does not just exist for itsef and "church" is not just what we do on the weekends. We are a community of Christians committed to growing spiritually and serving the larger community in which we live. Our people together, as well as individually and through small groups, want to reflect the love of God throughout our community. Here are some of the local agencies and ministries with which we are involved. We'd love to have you join us in spreading the love of Christ and hope for Daytona. Rose Marie Bryon Center
Description: An inner city center caring for at-risk kids on mulitple levels.
Ministry opportunities: Tutor, mentor, read to and play with children. Assist with office work, organization, building & grounds maintanance.

Palmetto House
Description: A halfway house for those attempting to transition out of poverty, addiction and homelessness.
Ministry Opportunities: Join a team of 6-7 people who prepare and serve evening meals.

Avenues 12
Description: A tranisitional housing facility for women in recovery from substance abuse.
Ministry Opportunities: Offer work opportunities to the residents. Donate practical items for kitchen & bathrooms.

Jesus Clinic
Description: Provides medical services to those who have a job but no health benefits.
Ministry Opportunities: People needed to volunteer who are certified in the medical field or have medical office experience.

Reources for Women
Description: A pregnancy center helping, counseling and educating women in different stages of pregnancy & early motherhood.
Ministry Opprotunities: Volunteers can work at the reception desk, counsel young mothers, help out in the 2nd Blessing Thrift Store or just donate baby items.

Hospice of Volusia/Flagler
Desciption: Some of our members volunteer at the hospice care center in Port Orange. This facility cares for the people in the final stages of their life.
Ministry Opportunities: You can volunteer to cook or serve meals, welcome visitors at the front desk or just sit and visit with patients.

Desciption: A fellowship group ministering to recovering mothers.
Ministry Opportunities: Bible study, special events planning, facilities maintenance.

Description: Provides forensic, therapeutic & prevention services to child abuse & sexual assault victims.
