Discipleship Project
The Discipleship Project is a commitment and a learning project we enter into together in order to deepen and sustain our discipleship and disciple-making throughout the year and throughout our lives.
This material is taught at Christ Community usually once a year but is placed on the website to equip our members with the tools to walk people they are investing in through this discipleship process. If you stumbled upon this and would like to go through it, please invite someone else to go through it with you. If you are new to the Christian faith please ask someone who has followed Jesus longer than you to lead you through it. If you have been a Christian for awhile, find someone new to the faith to take on this journey.
The Discipleship Project involves the following:
1. Weekly assignments requiring the practice of spiritual formation disciplines. These include: Bible Memory, Biblical Meditation, Prayer, Mission, and Fellowship.
2. A once a week meeting to discuss what is being learned.
3. Online community for daily encouragement and interaction. Go daily to "themusicandthedance.com" to take part in this aspect of the project (mainly for CCC classes).
4. Practical training in developing a "Next Step Spiritual Growth Plan", initiating discipling relationships with others, praying and watching, and biblical memory.
Your Commitment: Commit to the project sincerely. Do the assignments as faithfully as you can, devote yourself to the process. Be willing to pray that God will give you an opportunity to pass on what you have learned in the coming year.
Here are the assignments:
First: Orientation
Week One: The Forgotten Path To Freedom And Fulfillment
Week Two: The Word of God in Your Life
Week Three: Prayer
