Florida Institute of Technology

Imagine hanging around the center of Florida Tech, when all of the sudden, 100 students in formal Arabic attire break out in dance to a middle eastern tune with a strong drum solo. This is the scene of Florida Tech’s annual international festival, celebrating cultures at one of the most diverse schools in the nation. With over 300 students from the Middle East, 200 from India, 150 from China and 100 from Africa, International students make up 28 percent of the population at Florida Tech. This is truly an amazingly diverse campus!

What started in 1958 as a way for NASA scientists and engineers to continue their education expanded into a widely respected university with over 3,600 graduate and undergraduate students. Florida Tech now develops students in engineering, physics, oceanic studies, pre-med studies, flight, psychology and business.

Florida Tech has a growing athletic department with over 20 different NCAA division 2 athletic teams, along with a vibrant Fraternity and Sorority system.
